His hair is a little grayer these days, no doubt, thanks to more time spent caring for his young twins during the pandemic lockdown at his East Texas farm. The then-2-year-olds did inspire one song, “Pants is Overrated,” featured on the 12th of June, Lovett’s new album. Anyone who has tried to persuade kids to get dressed or has scrambled to put on appropriate attire for a Zoom call will appreciate the jazzy tune. This tour with his talented Large Band is the Texas singer’s first since 2020. Expect to hear the standards along with music from the latest record.
