Lyndsay Newell, founder of Newell Family Law, is a fierce advocate in the courtroom for family law clients and an objective counselor in private. She won’t push clients into a divorce they don’t want, but will work to give them the best possible outcome if divorce is what is needed.
Lyndsay, who handles all areas of family law, holds degrees from the University of Tennessee and Texas Wesleyan University School of Law. She is a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Tarrant County Family Law Bar Association, Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association, and Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court. She was a judicial intern with the Tarrant County Family Law District Judge and the Second District Court of Appeals.
Lyndsay helps clients navigate division of assets and debts, issues related to contested divorce, spousal support and child custody and visitation. She also prepares pre- and post-nuptial agreements and assists in division of business assets.
Lyndsay’s expertise in the area of parent-child relationships provides security and guidance to her clients when emotions run high and legal protection is essential. Her knowledge of the issues eases difficult situations for her clients and gives them confidence that she will help them achieve the best possible outcome.
She handles cases of termination of parental rights and provides protection during investigations by the Texas Department of Family Services/Child Protective Services. She handles issues of paternity, adoption, cohabitation, domestic violence, grandparents’ rights, protective orders and step-parent adoption.
