Kimbell Art Museum 3333 Camp Bowie Blvd., Fort Worth, 817-332-8451 kimbellart.org
Nearly 100 rarely seen masterpieces and recent discoveries will be on display in this exhibit. The artwork shows stages in the life cycle of the gods, from birth to their showy transformations as flowers or creatures of the night. These works were created during the Classic period (A.D. 250-900) in the tropical forests of what is now Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico and depict a world where divine, human and natural realms are intertwined. Museums from Europe, the United States and Latin America loaned items for the exhibit. Through Sept. 3
